The Female Lead x Sane Seven

We collaborated with The Female Lead to bring their second book, We Rise By Lifting Others, to life—a powerful collection celebrating 67 women who are shaping the world in bold, brilliant, and unexpected ways.

Our role was to create a distinctive photographic style for the book, capturing portraits that reflected each woman’s personality, power, and presence. From CEOs and scientists to activists and artists, we photographed each subject in a way that felt intimate, human, and honest.

The book features an incredible lineup of women such as former Prime Minister of Australia Julia Gillard, Lady Brenda Hale, Juliet Stevenson, Katie Piper, Jodie Whittaker, Dr Anne-Marie Imafidon, and many others—each sharing personal stories of resilience, reinvention, and lifting others as they rise.

Launched as a tool for schools, workplaces, and individuals, the book aims to spark meaningful conversations about representation, ambition, and what real influence looks like today.
