We partnered with the Ministry of Defence to reframe how women in the military are seen—beyond the uniform and the rank.

The series featured powerful portraits of high-ranking figures like General Dame Sharon Nesmith, the first woman to serve as Vice Chief of the Defence Staff, alongside new recruits just starting their careers.

The images were displayed on a giant 3×5 LED screen during an internal MoD event, where senior generals, decision-makers, and servicewomen gathered to discuss how the institution can better support women across all levels.

The project ignited crucial conversations at the highest levels of the organisation, challenging the way we traditionally see our workforce and culture. It was groundbreaking in approach, reaching out through the medium of photography and communication channels in a truly innovative way, establishing a new benchmark for how we highlight the importance of diversity and inclusivity of women” – Caroline Bellamy, Director MoD
